MORE ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm an Integrative Health & Nutrition Coach specializing in Gut and Hormone Health. I also have a background in Critical Care Nursing and am a mom of two  kiddos & rescue dogs from NJ!

I'm Meghan - your wellness hype girl

I had so much fun throwing this Mother’s Day Gift Guide together and hope you enjoy it too! Whether you’re shopping for the Moms in your life or perhaps yourself, I have you covered at every price point and type of gift depending on what you’re looking for!

  1. Vosges Haut-Chocolat: This might be the best thing I discovered in the past year – no exaggeration. If you have a Mom in your life that is a big foodie, or one that truly enjoys a special dessert — this is a spectacular and unique gift! They have a whole Mother’s Day gift section, but the Exotic Truffles are such a fun treat too! The quality of the chocolates, sourcing of ingredients, creativity and packaging gets a standing ovation from me every single time!
  2. Minted has come in handy for gifts throughout the year and I have two favorites for personalized gifts. You can do a puzzle or make a photo collage in the shape of hearts.
  3. Let’s talk photo books! If this is something you want to do, I suggest jumping on this ASAP as companies are starting to do promotions and it takes a bit to make your books. If you want to do something nice with professional photos, I recommend Artifact Uprising. The books from AU are stunning! I’ve used them for maternity photos so far and will be doing the kiddos newborn/1st birthdays when I stop procrastinating. If you’re looking for a lower price point and something more casual, Chatbooks is a great option.
  4. I think jewelry can be a personalized touch at a reasonable price point. Last year I got this necklace made with both Jack & Willow’s initials (I even got myself one). I found these adorable name bracelets too!
  5. Slippers & Slides are all I wear now, anyone else? Anyways, these are my favorite slippers and I have two favorite slides. The Birkenstocks are such an easy crowd pleaser – most people love them and they are super comfortable. This slide is a little more trendy, but it’s so comfy and will be my new everyday slide this summer!
  6. Skincare is tricky when you’re buying for someone else, but Drunk Elephant has been my ride or die skin care for a few years. I think getting sample or value sets can be a fun way to introduce someone to a brand or product without committing, so I’ll attach my pick here!
  7. Thrive Market could be the perfect gift for a Mom that’s challenging to buy for. Everyone eats right? I’ve been using Thrive for a few years for all pantry staples like nuts, oils, spreads, grains, snacks etc. Not only do they have a great selection, but they offer 20-50% off compared to stores and accommodate all dietary preferences, which makes it easy to shop!
  8. The Always Pan is perfect for the Mom that cooks! This is the one piece of cookware that stays on my stove 24/7. I used it for virtually everything and the non-stick has held up since I purchased it over the holidays.
  9. Cookbooks are always fun and there’s so many to choose from! If you want to do something on the healthy side, Giada De Laurentiis released her new book, “Eat Better, Feel Better,” which is on my list. I used to watch her when Food Network actually had cooking shows and own all of her books (she’s always been a huge food inspiration of mine). If you’re looking for a more homey vibe, Magnolia Table is wonderful!
  10. Speaking of books, Coffee Table Books could be a great option if none of these ideas work! I recently did a post on my favorites here!
  11. When in doubt – candles! Anthropologie is always my go-to for candles, and I’ll attach my current favorite here.
  12. Last but not least, we have a coffee mug. Can’t go wrong right?

I'm Meghan - your wellness hype girl

let's be friends

After years of being in the health & fitness industry, I found myself struggling to get results after my second pregnancy. What used to work, no longer did and I found myself experiencing stubborn weight gain, vertigo and debilitating PMS symptoms, despite eating well and exercising regularly. I sought help from multiple physicians who either told me I was fine or echoed. "this is just how it is as you get older." I refused to accept that and invested in continuing education so I would be able to help myself through nutrition and lifestyle modification. I feel fantastic, lost the 12lbs of excess weight and my cycles have been a breeze. Best of all -- I'm happier and my kids have a better mom because of it!
