It was 2014 and I was newly engaged, but had this lingering worry about how I would look in my wedding photos decades from now. I had been focused on my career as a RN, had been working both nights and 24 hour shifts and my health was put on the back burner. Bad habits turned into bad excuses and it felt impossible to turn things around. After years of yo-yoing, dieting and gym loitering, a friend introduced me to a home fitness program, that I assumed wouldn't work. Despite my reservations, I had nothing to lose and gave it a try. Within 2 months, I had lost 12 lbs and for the first time and stayed happily consistent. I would come home from work, push play in the basement (oftentimes in my scrubs) and the rest is history. I was inspired to pay it forward and my passion became a career in coaching. As a nurse, parent and woman nearing 40, I can't stress enough how important it is that we take care of ourselves and I can't wait to help you every step of the way!
If I've learned anything over the years as I've navigated health and wellness as a newlywed, infertility warrior, new mom and mom of school aged children (where the heck does the time go?!?!), it's that you have to enjoy what you're doing!
