This is one of my favorite places to get Dinner at the Jersey Shore, and might even be the best!
I don’t think this place is a secret by any means, but whenever I talk to friends who are local, they seem to be unaware that this gem exists.
So here’s the scoop!
It’s located right on Main Street under the historic Inn on Main. There’s technically two restaurants in one (Peach Pit Café for breakfast/lunch and Blend for upscale dining). We are total early birds when it comes to dinner, but I would make a reservation if you want to eat after 6pm. Parking is free on the street or in the lot in the rear of the restaurant. It’s BYOB as well, which is a plus – and if you forget to BYO, there is a liquor store down the block (Manasquan Liquors), at 139 Main Street.
Wait staff has always been attentive, helpful, warm and pleasant. They are also well versed in their menu and have suggested items we normally wouldn’t have ordered, but LOVED.
The menu is diverse, innovative and really accommodates every palate and preference. The food is simple, but elegantly crafted with a lot of attention to detail in terms of execution and plating!
How fun is this Asian Calamari ($14) dish?!
We’ve dined here at least half a dozen times for dinner and it always starts the same – PRETZEL BREAD! They are buttery goodness and they are served alongside a raspberry/mustard dipping sauce which is really unique too!
Dinners have always been exceptional and I’ll attach some photos of meals that we’ve had below.
Some of our favorites:
Chicken Rollatini ($26) – which is weird because I hardly ever order chicken out, but this dish is so good!
Crab Cakes – not something my husband orders, but he thought they were phenomenal (no fillers, and all crab!). I wish I could tell you that I enjoyed them too, but I’m sadly allergic!
Duck – if you like Duck, please order it here! You get two different preparations and it’s cooked perfectly (crispy skin and all!)
Scallops – no photo unfortunately, but I’ve had them before and they were seared to perfection!
Specials! Can’t go wrong!!
We are normally too stuffed to order dessert, but we’ve tried the donuts and chocolate cake (both of which are amazing), but I think we’ll have to order the Ring Ding For Two next time based on reviews!!!
We’ve felt comfortable dining here with Jack two summers in a row now, particularly because of the outdoor seating.
As new parents we were always worried about crying when he was a baby, and now that we have a toddler, we worry about whining – but outdoor seating gives us the opportunity to have an excellent meal without worrying about inconveniencing others! We pull our stroller right up to the table and have everything that we need!
All in all – this place is wonderful and highly recommend it!
