“I started using the Beachbody Programs and Shakeology in March 2017. With havingaccess to the Beachbody On Demand, I have access to different programs that I would not normally try, like MMA style workouts. With multiple options for work out programs I have been able choose programs that fit my lifestyle and the time I can allot to work out each day. My biggest struggle has been following the meal plan especially when going out as a social event or even around family and friends. As I got more knowedgeable of the meal plan my mind began to shift to healthier options, even when out to eat. The support group is a huge help between the accountability posts and the healthy recipe posts. The group is an extra source for motivation on the days that it may be more difficult to find the time or energy to workout. Since following the workout programs and meal plan I have more energy, feel less bloated, and haveso much more confidence in myself. My mindset has also changed from working out being a chore to wanting to work out every day. “I have been using Shakeology for over a year now. I started last year and I had amazing results. Due to medical reasons my progress was halted and I have had to start all over again. “The pictures can tell a lot, but what they don’t tell is all the struggles, sweat, and tears it has taken me to get to this point. I’ve lost 30 pounds and approximately 20 total inches (I’m finishing a program now and I haven’t done those inches yet). I was introduced to beachbody from my husband after I was constantly complaining about how unhappy I was with myself. He introduced me into these “groups” and I’ve never looked back since. They have completely changed my life both physically and mentally. I’ve been on my new journey for about a year and a half. I’ve noticed results with my first program 22 minute hard corps. I lost 16 pounds alone during that first 60 day program! I’ve also done other programs like insanity max 30, 21 day Fix Extreme, Core de Force, and shift shop. The products I use besides BOD are shakeology, energize and recover. The BIGGEST struggle I’ve had is doubting myself. I didn’t believe I could have muscles that you could physically see or a flatter stomach. I would doubt myself and it would show especially in the beginning. I would say looking back now I was CRAZY I’ve come such a long way. You can see my physical transformation but my mental one is something else. I was the person who sat back and took it all in and never said a peep. I would always let my husband do the talking for me. Now forget about it I’m able to talk to everyone (almost unless it’s a celeb 🤣). I never thought I could or needed to change. But I’m not going to lie I NEEDED it.. I needed to be better for myself so I could be better for my husband and my family. Hi! My name is Caitlyn Smith, I’m a Beach Body coach and I have lost 40lbs and kept it off for a year. January 2016 was when I decided to lose weight. I was 175lbs, 5’8, and a size 12/14 in jeans. I gained 25lbs in nursing school and I was in my last year of school and I wanted to graduate feeling better about myself. I tried going to the gym, hiring a personal trainer, buying fitness work outs off Instagram, CrossFit, counting my calories and macros, and nothing worked. I struggled to get in gym time because I was a busy nursing student working part time at the hospital, going to the gym for two hours was not an option for me. By this point I was ready to give up, I was so over it, I decided that I would lose the weight when life was easier, after graduation. During the summer I had a nurse externship in an ICU, and that’s where everything changed for me. I met my wonderful coach Meghan Mosakowski. She always talked about this shake and these work outs that helped her lose 25lbs and keep it off, and she just seemed so ridiculous happy, I wanted to know how. I told her that my Best Friend’s wedding was coming up and I was so nervous to stand up next to her and the rest of the brides mates because I was going to be the biggest girl there. She told me about Beachbody, how the work outs were only 30 minutes and I could do them when ever and where ever, and that depending on how hard I worked I could easily lose up to 10lbs. The best part was if I didn’t like the work outs or the shake I can return it for all my money back, none of the other programs I tried offered me that, so I figured why not.
I started in mid-June 2016 with 21 Day Fix Challenge Pack as a customer. I didn’t follow the meal plan, drank my shakes a few times a week and did most of the workouts and I lost 6lbs. I was so excited that it actually worked I thought wow I wonder how much I could lose if I really followed this. I gained those 6lbs back in Florida at my friend’s wedding and I decided to make August the month I completely commit and joined as Coach. I lost the 6lbs again with in the first week of eating healthy and working out and I lost an additional 4lbs making it a total of 10lbs for my first round. The work outs were only 30 minutes long and I could do them in my bedroom, I was hooked and the rest is history. I have since completed 21 Day Fix Extreme, T25 Alpha and Beta, Core De Force, Insanity Max 30, Hammer and Chisel, 22 Minute Hard Corps and Shift Shop. Each program I saw results, I lost inches and pounds but gained confidence. My last day of Core De Force was December 14,2016 it was my Pinning Ceremony for Nursing and I was officially down the 25lbs I had gained in nursing school. Since then I have lost a total of 40lbs and kept it off since. I drink my nutrient dense shake every day, use my portion control containers for my meal prep, Unicorn blood (aka Energizer) and Recovery. These products played a key role in my transformation. Since starting I have become more confident and happier. The relationships I have with my friends and family are better, and I have a positive outlook on life. In addition to all of this I have gained a wonderful fit family. Without my fit family and our monthly challenge groups I wouldn’t have been able to do this. “I never have considered myself “overweight”, I haven’t always been healthy in my habits but for the most part I had a good self esteem and just would workout when I pleased and sometimes eat “healthy”. Finally one night I was scrolling through Facebook and Meghan popped up once again ( I had been one of those silent lurkers for a month or so) and messaged her asking what it was she did because I needed a change. “I am a mom of 2 kids age 3 and 2 months. I have always been fitness with my passion being running. It’s funny that I would run half marathons but never had attained the fitness level I wanted. After my oldest was born it took me 18 months to even start to get back into shape and what allowed me to do that was beachbody with effective at home workouts and meal plans. I had expensive gym memberships that I didn’t use because I couldn’t get to the gym routinely with a child. Fast forward to my second child I knew my game plan! I was not waiting 18 months.
